Many people are familiar with doing it in public places, but not so many know about the phenomenon that is common particularly in Great Britain – “dogging”. The term means much more than just doing it outdoors because it also involves anonymous sex with an unknown person who also practices “dogging” and all this takes place in isolated parking lots. We could find similarities to parking lots in shopping malls, but police officers often know the locations where these sexual games take place and they might spoil your fun. It is actually also a characteristic of British “dogging” that you have passionate intercourse on a picnic table in broad daylight.

 

The roots of this phenomenon

 

We can find the roots of the term in the phrase ”walking the dog”, which is an answer a lonely man tells a police officer if he asks for his papers and asks why he is out so late. It is also clear that a lot of people are really involved with this when you check the website, which even offers a list of the hottest sex locations at the moment. You can decide to have an active role - the exhibitionist role, or just be a passive voyeur. The first group is usually comprised of women and couples, who invite others to participate, while the observers are mostly men.

The "military" history of the phenomenon

 

The “dogging” trend has been around for many years, but it has moved from being underground to being mainstream and a lot of credit for this goes to daily papers and tabloids that reveal the most popular locations. The origins go a long way back though. It all began when men went into military service. A lot of people were able to watch their friends, who were also soldiers, doing it with their wives when these were visiting. There were no hard feelings because all three people involved understood that each one derived some pleasure from it, some as active participants, others as members of audience. And so everyone was happy.
