When they conducted a small research on a hundred women at the American paper Los Angeles Times, they came to some surprising conclusions. Women who ingested Viagra had better sex, felt more arousal and more desire for the intercourse itself. It has to be stressed that these were women who were on antidepressants before. These women have problems with sexual desires because of these pills and there are many women who suffer with depression problems in the USA. According to the last data, there are even more than six million of them. If this means that six million women have problems with their sexuality because of this, American men are experiencing a terrible crisis.

That’s why the research conducted by the Los Angeles Times is so groundbreaking and extremely important. Viagra has very positive effects when combined with antidepressants. It functions as an aphrodisiac which wakes a woman out of her coma and gives her back what the antidepressants took away. Experts predict that while Viagra won’t be such a hit with women as it is with men, it’s still an important fact in further research on female sexuality. Doctors also add that sexual problems are mostly mechanical with men, while with women the problems are concerned with deeper emotional problems and the desire for sex. Naturally, we don’t completely agree with this because it’s known that a man who doesn’t have things straightened out in his head won’t have much use for Viagra, which means that he can’t expect miracles just because he swallowed a pill.

Men and women really aren’t that different when it comes to sex

 

That’s why we like Doctor Irwin Goldstein, director of the sexual medicine centre in San Diego, so much. He says that Viagra proves that men and women are very similar when it comes to intercourse and that we often look for differences unnecessarily. But on the other hand, that’s not exactly true because major differences can be noticed exactly with Viagra. While Viagra increases the blood flow to the penis with a man, the reverse process happens with a woman, so the expected effect can’t happen. It’s true that these findings are a bit dated and were made when researching women who lacked the desire for sex, but that doesn’t mean they’re not valid at least in some degree. But listen to this, a similar, albeit slightly lower, effect is also caused by a placebo, to which the female body also responds very positively. So, women have quite a few solutions for better sexuality, just like men. Of course, there have to be desire and a person who can bring out lustful thoughts in the partner involved. Or as Doctor Goldstein said: “As long as testosterone values are OK, we can help them.”
