Choose the right bra!

The wrong choice of bra can be harmful. Read why it is important that it is neither too small nor too big.

Bras are not just underwear. They also offer much needed support for your breasts. The breasts do not have many muscles which keep them in their place. With years, the elasticity of skin also disappears and this causes sagging of the breasts. Scientists in Great Britain have also found out that some bras can even be harmful. They can stretch the fragile ties in the breasts.

 

The research was conducted with 100 women. They tried out 50 bras in a period of three years. They discovered that the wrong bras cause pain and discomfort. Breast movement is limited, but with intensive exercising they can move up and down for as much as 8 inches.

 

It is also important to realize that breasts change and so the sizes of the bras we use should also be changed accordingly. Special attention should be given to the period after birth and during menopause.

Many women do not buy bras that are appropriate for their size, but instead buy the bra sizes they would want to have. Some women want to hide their breasts and squeeze them into bras that are too small.

As we have already said, sport activities can be very tough on the breasts and in those cases it is very important what kind of bra we choose. Our choice should not be limited with images of what a certain bra should be like and that the only good one is the one we can put over our heads. The market is full of different models nowadays. The choice can surprise you if you only get enough information and choose the most appropriate one.
